Register for Programs
Ranger-led programs run year-round. Reserve your spot before they fill — most cap at 12–24 participants.
Guided Night Hike: Owls & Stars
Barn owls call from the ridge every clear night. Ranger Delilah brings a spotting scope and a red-light kit so your eyes stay adjusted. 2-mile loop, mostly flat.

Junior Ranger Badge Day
Kids ages 5–12 earn their official badge by completing five field challenges: animal tracking, plant ID, map reading, water testing, and Leave No Trace pledge.
Spring Birding Census Walk
Your count contributes to the statewide breeding bird atlas. Ranger Priya provides loaner binoculars. No experience needed — beginners welcome, data collected matters.
Prepare to Go
Check off your kit the night before. Nothing ruins a morning hike like a dead headlamp at the trailhead.
Check the trail conditions board at the park entrance — rangers update it every morning by 7 AM. River crossings can change overnight after rain. Conditions are also posted on each trail's page.
